On Augusta Street, near BB&T there will be a free, family event! Bring a toy for the Salvation Army!Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree! The Capitol Christmas Tree will stop in Staunton, near BB&T, for a special viewing with fun and treats for everyone! The SDDA will organize an event with characters, holiday music fun and merriment and will use the event to collect toys for the Salvation Army. Activities include: pizza sampling from Luigi’s, Sugar Plum Sweet Party at the Staunton Academy of Ballet, an Open House at Rask Florist, craft from Staunton Art Supply, Santa visit from The Split Banana, ELF is the Elf character from the SDDA, cookies from Interim Healthcare, hot chocolate from the Salvation Army, and music from MY 95.5 media sponsor, animal crackers and balloons from Grandma’s Bait. 2:30pm - The Park at 100 West Hershey Park Drive, Hershey, PA
Join in the fun as The Capitol Christmas Tree makes its first-ever stop in Hershey on its journey to Washington, DC! The tree will be on display in the Hershey park parking lot, where guests can take pictures and talk to the team responsible for bringing the tree across the country from Wyoming. A special ceremony and festivities will take place at 4 PM, and guests are invited to sign banners that will accompany the tree to the Capitol Building.

Chevy Chase – 5:30pm – The 4H Center at 7100 Connecticut Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD
This is just a short stop before heading to the US Capitol Lawn. This may be your final chance to see the tree before it is set-up and decorated at the West Lawn of the US Capitol.
